Looking for something different for your wedding ceremony? The Red Cow Moran Hotel has become a popular choice for those seeking a civil ceremony or an informal blessing in Dublin.

Exchanging vows at a hotel allows you to enjoy your wedding celebrations all under one roof meaning less to worry about on your special day. Couples have the option of using our civil ceremony venue for gatherings from 2 to 200 guests, so whether you are looking for something initimate or want a large celebration with family and friends, we've got something that will suit your special day. With no travelling between the ceremony and afters venue means you'll have even more time to spend with your loved ones.

Brides and Grooms-to-be can enjoy complimentary civil ceremony venue hire as part of their wedding package. Included in this package you will find use of the civil ceremony venue, chairs, red carpet and floral arrangements.

Top tips for booking your civil ceremony:

  • Contact the HSE Civil Registrar Office in order to gain approval. Each bridal party will need to obtain an individual licence. The hotel cannot apply for this on their behalf. Fees are payable to the HSE. For more details please visit
  • Once approval has been granted, please submit your application form to your wedding coordinator and they will sign and verify the details. Our wedding team will sign the declaration and make sure the outlined HSE standards are in place.
  • From this point both wedding coordinator of the Red Cow Moran Hotel and brides and grooms-to-be can commence organising the special day.

We advise that you apply for this approval in good time to ensure you get the date that you want. Please note that informal blessings do not require legal presence in the hotel. An informal blessing is not an actual legal marriage procedure and we recommend that you make arrangements with the HSE civil registration team to book the legal aspect of your wedding.
