Wheelchair Accessible Rooms

At the 4-star Red Cow Moran Hotel, our guests' comfort is our number one priority. We cater for people of all abilities, and have a range of facilities to accomodate wheelchair users, people travelling with carers and those with a disability or physical challenges. We have 15 bedrooms which have been specifically adapted to be wheelchair friendly, and are designed to make your stay extra comfortable.

The entrance doors to our accessible rooms are fitted with wide angle door viewers at both seated and standing levels. The wardrobe interiors are designed for wheelchair users and feature pull down clothes rails to ensure easy access. Each room has ample space and large ensuite bathrooms/wet rooms, equipped with roll-in shower with grab rails, a shower chair or lower access baths and an emergency pull cord.

Each accessible room has a King size bed with extra space under it to allow a hoyer lift slide under the bed. For safety, emergency assistance alarms have been fitted, and our accessible rooms are located near the lift.

For those travelling by car, there is an accesible parking bay located close to the main entrance of the hotel. Interconnecting rooms are also available.

..we decided to book into the NEW wheelchair accessible room on the 7th floor at the end of July and WOW...the room is massive, loads of space, NO carpet which is a big plus when hoisting, great entrance into huge bathroom from the bedroom, bathroom is great, has a large shower seat for anyone who can transfer, lovely view from two windows, and the air conditioning was set just right. We spend a lot of time in the room and use the room service menu so its lovely to have such a spacious room to eat and relax in.... Thanks so much to the Red Cow Moran for making such an effort to better their already excellent wheelchair accessible rooms....

This is our 3rd time staying in this hotel… The accessible room is just perfect for our needs as we travel with a Powerchair, hoist and shower chair/comm. It is really spacious for my husband to move all around the room. Very modern. Large bathroom (opening into the bedroom.. a big plus for us) roll in shower, great shower gel / soap containers (no small bottles to handle and drop) Lovely view from the 6th floor. Space under the bed for using the hoist… The new entrance with automatic doors are a great improvement to the hotel..... so far the best wheelchair friendly hotel we have stayed in and it suits all our needs so we will be back.

Having stayed here with my husband, a powerchair user, I can honestly say these are the best accessible rooms we've ever stayed in. You guys have thought of everything from the drop-down clothes hangers to an extremely spacious bathroom with all the necessities. Pure luxury without making it feel like a care-home facility ( as a lot of hotels do ) Massive well done :)
