Hotels near Croke Park

Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over a hundred years. Boasting a capacity for 82,300 people, the stadium is the home of Gaelic games and the headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Home of the GAA). Cheer on your county team in the All Ireland Football Championship as they compete for the Sam Maguire cup or watch your favourite hurling team compete for the Liam MacCarthy cup. With an electric atmosphere, there is no better place to be than Croke Park on a match day.

Croke Park is also a world-renowned venue for concerts with acts such as U2, Coldplay, Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Take That and One Direction gracing the stage over the years.

If you want to learn more about the history of the stadium, take a trip to the GAA museum, situated in the grounds of Croke Park. The museum celebrates the history of Ireland’s national games as well as delving into the importance of these sports and how they contributed to sporting, cultural and social heritage. You can also take a tour of stadium, which will give you access to all areas and is a real must see for any GAA fan.

For the brave, you can enjoy a skyline tour of stadium, which will see you go 17 stories high. The rooftop walk gives you uninterrupted panoramic views of the city, while taking in all of Dublin’s main landmarks and of course you also get to enjoy a breathtaking view of the pitch as well.

Our Location

If you are attending a sporting event, concert or visiting the stadium, stay with us at the Red Cow Moran Hotel. The Red Cow Moran Hotel is located just 19 minutes from the stadium or if you plan on taking public transport the Red Cow Luas stop is a 6 minute walk from the hotel where you can travel to Connolly Station and either walk or take the dart to the stadium.

Went to dundrum for shopping and croke park for the football. This is a great hotel with brilliant staff who make check in quick and easy and always put the customer first. The new wing is fantastic and the suite we stayed in was amazing. We had dinner in the restaurant and again it was excellent as per previous visits. We highly recommend Moran's and will only stay here for future Dublin trips. On checking out when we said we were off to the match in what looked like rain the staff member got us rain ponchos free of charge and booked us a taxi. Great service and facilities all round.

Leisure Stay - July 2017

Stayed here recently while attending a concert at Croke Park. The hotel is well located just off the M50. Car parking is onsite and is accessible through security barriers. The welcome by reception was friendly and efficient and access to room is by lift. Our room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Access to Dublin centre is very easy using the tram Luas system. Breakfast had the usual good selection of hot and cold options. Car parking charges apply but there are discounts for residents. It is worth checking out the Luas timetable. If planning to travel into the city centre it can be difficult to get a taxi back out after the last Luas.
