Grafton Street - 17 Mins from Red Cow Moran Hotel

Grafton Street is located between Trinity College and St Stephen's Green, it is one of the principal shopping streets in Dublin city centre. The street provides a unique shopping experience with a wide variety of fashionable stores such as Brown Thomas, the department store catering for many designer showcases, both foreign and local. Dublin's leading and most exclusive jewellers, Weirs, is also here, as well as the most popular of the famous Bewley's Cafés. The main street has numerous clothing outlets while the side streets are lined with boutiques containing the creations of Ireland's trendy designers.

This short stretch contains two notable Dublin landmarks, the eighteenth century Trinity College Provost's House, home to the head of the college, and the late twentieth century statue of Molly Malone, which has become a popular Dublin meeting place. A life-size bronze statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled on Harry Street, off Grafton Street near the Stephen's Green end, on 19 August 2005.

Since the 1980s, the street has been mostly pedestrianised which makes it perfect for a shopping day out in the heart of Dublin city centre. It’s perfect for an enjoyable day out with friends and family with the added pleasure of enjoying performances from showcases, both foreign and local. Our Location

The Red Cow Moran Hotel is situated 17minutes drive (9km) from Grafton Street. It is easily accessible by public transport thanks to our location next to the Red Cow luas stop. The new Dublin cross city is now connecting the red and green lines and makes travelling across Dublin city so much easier. The hotel is serviced by the luas tram which is just 6 minute walk away. This leaves you to Abbey Street station where you can get the Cross city to St. Stephen’s Green. Alternatively, take bus 13 from the Dublin bus stop across from the hotel and it will take you right to Trinity College.
